Dreams That Catch the World

"People who own the world outright for profit will have to be stopped; by influence, by power, by us."

This is a must see interview with poet, writer, speaker, and all around sensible guy Wendell Berry. It is a long (by internet standards) video.  I think if you set a few moments aside the time may fly by listening to Mr. Berry and Bill Moyers talk about the direction and methods society must move towards in order to prosper into the future.  I've often told myself "You don't have to get there fast, you just have to get there,"  Impatience is not an asset when it comes to meaningful change or a shift in paradigms.
Please enjoy this great thinker's vision.

Wendell Berry on His Hopes for Humanity from BillMoyers.com on Vimeo.
Wendell Berry, a quiet and humble man, has become an outspoken advocate for revolution. He urges immediate action as he mourns how America has turned its back on the land and rejected Jeffersonian principles of respect for the environment and sustainable agriculture. Berry warns, “People who own the world outright for profit will have to be stopped; by influence, by power, by us.”
In a rare television interview, this visionary, author – and farmer – discusses a sensible, but no-compromise plan to save the Earth.
